Web Design in Rosemead, in English and Chinese

Rosemead is a working town. Valley and Garvey are lined with family-run restaurants, groceries, auto shops and clinics, and many of the families here speak Cantonese, Chiu Chow or Vietnamese at home. A website in one language talks to a fraction of them. We build both versions at once — one site, one price list — from ten minutes away in Monterey Park.

East Meets Web Studio is Roger Yau's one-person web design studio in Monterey Park, California. It builds websites in English and Chinese for small businesses across the San Gabriel Valley — restaurants, clinics, accounting, real estate, law offices, salons and shops — from $2,500, every price listed, with no monthly fee after launch. Built for the Businesses on Valley, Garvey and Rosemead Boulevard

The kinds of Rosemead businesses we build for most, and what each one usually needs.

A corner shopping strip in Rosemead with a laundromat and small shops

Restaurants and Noodle Houses

A menu in both languages that is actually current, hours that are right, and a button to the ordering page you already use — with no commission to us.

Auto Repair, Body Shops and Tires

The services you actually do, in plain English and Chinese, hours and a map that work on a phone, and a click-to-call button — the way customers find a mechanic now.

Clinics, Dentists and Pharmacies

Every service explained in English and Chinese before the patient calls, a booking button, and a Google Maps profile that shows up when neighbors search in either language.

Insurance, Tax and Immigration

A page for each service, written so a first-time client understands what you do — and a contact form that reaches you the same day.

Our web sites that Roger built communicate with small business owners and entrepreneurs. His creative thinking and his ability to quickly solve any problems have always been most valuable to me.

Roger built both of our yoga studio websites and continues to offer updates whenever needed. He is easy to work with, quick to respond to requests, and offers great input and fresh ideas. Highly recommend!

What $2,500 Gets You

The whole website, in English and Traditional Chinese, so customers on both sides of the street can read it. Your hours, menu or services shown correctly on a phone, where people look first. A one-hour training so you can change text, photos and prices yourself, and no monthly fee to us afterward. If it brings you one new regular customer a month, it has paid for itself well within the year.

Online ordering, booking, an online store, a Simplified Chinese version and a Google Maps profile are add-ons, each with its own listed price on the pricing page, and the Quick Estimate gives you a full estimate in two minutes. Need something that is not on the menu — a membership system, a loyalty program, a feature built just for your business? We'll give you a written estimate at Discovery, before you decide — never a surprise on the invoice.

Plan first, commit later: a $250 Discovery meeting gives you a written plan and a firm total price before you decide. The $250 is credited to your project, and you pay in three milestones, never all up front.

How It Works in Rosemead

  1. A Free 20-Minute Call

Tell us about your business, and we'll tell you honestly whether a website will help and roughly what it would cost. No obligation.

  2. Discovery at Your Shop

We come to you, look at what you have, and leave you a one-page plan with a firm total price. Please bring your phone: we open your accounts in your name while we sit together.

  3. Launch in Four to Six Weeks, Then Training

You approve the homepage, then the rest. After launch: a recorded training session in Cantonese or English and 30 days of support.

Payment terms, what we need from you and the ground rules are on the pricing page. Our own reviews are on our work page, and on our Google profile.

Questions Rosemead Owners Ask

Do you come to my shop in Rosemead?

Yes, gladly. The Discovery meeting and the training both happen at your shop — on Valley, Garvey or Rosemead Boulevard, or anywhere else in Rosemead — Monday to Saturday, 9am to 7pm. There is no office to visit; we bring everything needed to you, about fifteen minutes from our Monterey Park studio. If you prefer, the first 20-minute call is by phone or Zoom.

Will customers in Rosemead find my site when they search in Chinese?

Your site launches in English and Traditional Chinese, so a search in either language can lead to it, and every page says plainly which city you serve. Most owners also add the Google Maps profile, so when someone in Rosemead searches for your kind of business, your hours, photos and reviews show up in the language they used. It is listed separately on the pricing page.

Is there a monthly fee or a contract?

Not to us, unless you want one. No retainer, no auto-renewal, nothing to cancel. Hosting is included and stays free for a site like this; your only running cost is the web address, about $11 a year for a .com (an online store adds Shopify's plan; the Instagram feed adds a small feed service from about $5 a month, in your own account). Only heavy video stored on the site itself, or a custom feature that runs on every visit, would move hosting to a paid tier of about $5 a month — and we would let you know before it happens. If you'd rather not touch the site yourself, the optional care plan is $150 a month for up to five small changes and cancels any month.

Traditional or Simplified Chinese? What about other languages?

Traditional, standard written Chinese by default — readable by Hong Kong, Taiwanese and mainland customers, written to read the way local customers actually talk. If most of your customers read Simplified, take the Simplified version on its own ($200, AI-translated and proofread by us) or alongside Traditional. Vietnamese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean or any other language is $350 each: translated by AI and checked by us for names, prices and layout, not reviewed by a native speaker — good for welcoming customers and showing hours, services and prices; for legal or medical wording, have a native speaker read it once.

How quickly do you reply, and who am I talking to?

Within one business day, Monday to Saturday. You are talking to Roger — the person who writes, builds and trains. There is no sales team and no hand-off to someone you haven't met. Email, phone, text or WeChat, whichever you prefer.
