How Long Does a Website Take? Four to Six Weeks

From the free call to launch, four to six weeks for a typical site, training included. The schedule is fixed by two things on your side — how quickly you send photos and text, and how quickly you review each step — and that is where most of the difference between four weeks and six comes from.

Week by Week

  • Week 1: a free 20-minute call, then a $250 Discovery meeting at your shop. You leave with a one-page plan and a firm total; we leave with your photos, menu or price list, and your accounts opened in your name.
  • Weeks 2–3: the homepage, in English and Chinese. You see it, send all your comments at once, and we revise. Two review rounds are included in every step.
  • Weeks 3–5: the remaining pages, then any add-ons — booking, ordering, the store — each connected to a system opened in your name.
  • Weeks 5–6: launch, a recorded training session in Cantonese or English, a short written guide in Chinese and English, and 30 days of support.

What Makes It Faster or Slower

Faster: photos and text ready at Discovery, comments sent in one batch, decisions made within a day or two. Slower: waiting on photos, feedback arriving in pieces over several days, or an online store with many products to enter. If you need a pause, the project simply waits until you are ready; a restart after a long pause is $250.

What We Need From You

Your logo if you have one, photos of the shop and the work, your menu or price list, hours, and the names of any systems you already use for booking, ordering or payment. If you have none of these, say so — we plan around it and help you gather what matters.

Related Questions

Can I update the site myself?

Yes — that is the whole idea. Your site has its own edit page where you change hours, prices, photos, menu items and text; a save is live in about a minute, and every save is kept so anything can be put back. Before launch we sit down with you — in Cantonese or English — and make real changes together. You get a recording of that session and a short written guide in Chinese and English, plus 30 days of support after launch. If you're a Mandarin speaker, the written guide and WeChat make it easy — Roger reads and writes Chinese fluently.

How quickly do you reply, and who am I talking to?

Within one business day, Monday to Saturday. You are talking to Roger — the person who writes, builds and trains. There is no sales team and no hand-off to someone you haven't met. Email, phone, text or WeChat, whichever you prefer.

Can you connect the booking, membership or ordering system I already use?

Yes. If it offers an embed code or a widget — Mindbody, Vagaro, Square, Momence, OpenTable, Yelp, Mailchimp and most others do — it is a flat $250 per system, however many pieces it needs. We place it, match it to your design and check it on phones. Your subscription stays yours; we never hold your login. If the platform offers no embed option, we'll quote it at Discovery. Can I stop the care plan and come back later?

Yes. Stop with one email, restart with one email, no fee either way. The included yearly checkup is earned after 12 paid months, whether or not they are in a row.
